Gordon Warnecke
Gordon Warnecke, born on August 24, 1962, in London, is a distinguished English actor with Indo-Guyanese and German heritage. He gained significant recognition for portraying Omar in the 1985 film *My Beautiful Laundrette*, where he starred alongside Daniel Day-Lewis as his romantic partner. Warnecke's filmography also includes notable appearances in Franco Zeffirelli's *Young Toscanini* and Hanif Kureishi's *London Kills Me*.
In addition to his film work, Warnecke has an extensive television career, featuring in popular series such as *Boon*, *Doctor Who*—where he appeared in the serial *Mindwarp*—*Only Fools and Horses*, *Virtual Murder*, *Birds of a Feather*, *EastEnders*, and *The Bill*.
