Patrik Karlson

Patrik Karlson is a talented actor and voice actor known for his fascination with intricate narratives and the visionary works of directors such as Yorgos Lanthimos, Ben Wheatley, Shane Carruth, and Maren Ade. Beginning his acting journey in 1991 at the age of 23, Patrik boasts over twenty-five years of experience in both theatre and film. His career took off with a standout performance as Mickey in Willy Russell's acclaimed play "Blood Brothers," earning him significant recognition for his portrayal.

In 1991, Patrik, alongside Heléne Lindquist, co-founded Teater Amabile, a theatre company based in the quaint village of Klippan, southern Sweden. He contributed to the company until 1996, when he transitioned to the Regional Theatre of Skåne, further honing his craft.

The spring of 1999 marked a pivotal moment in Patrik's career as he made his debut as a playwright and director with the monologue "Följ mig till tidens rand" ("Follow Me to the End of Time"). In this poignant piece, he portrayed "The Man," exploring profound themes of love, belief, reconciliation with the past, and the complexities of life and death. The play toured various venues across Sweden, showcasing Patrik's multifaceted talents and solidifying his place in the theatrical landscape.
