Taylor Sheridan Gibler Jr. (born May 21, 1970) is a multifaceted American creative known for his work as a writer, producer, director, and actor. He gained widespread recognition as the co-creator of the acclaimed television series Yellowstone and its prequels, 1883 (2021) and 1923 (2022), which have captivated audiences with their rich storytelling and compelling characters.

Sheridan's film career took off with notable screenplays including Sicario (2015), which earned him a nomination for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay. His work on Hell or High Water (2016) garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, and the film itself received three additional Oscar nominations, including Best Picture. In 2017, he made his directorial debut with the neo-Western crime thriller Wind River, followed by writing the sequel to Sicario in 2018.

Before his rise as a writer and director, Sheridan appeared on screen as Danny Boyd in the series Veronica Mars (2005–2007) and as David Hale in FX's Sons of Anarchy. He has since developed several series for Paramount+, including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King (co-written with Terence Winter), the espionage thriller Lioness, and the drama Landman.

In recognition of his contributions to the arts, Sheridan was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2021 and the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 2024. He is also honored as a graduate of Texas Christian University.
