40 Glocc, born Lawrence Carl Demetrious White on December 16, 1979, in Greenville, Texas, is a prominent American rapper whose upbringing in California's Inland Empire significantly influenced his music. Relocating to the Colton projects, affectionately named the "Zoo," at just eight years old, he transformed the challenges of his environment into powerful lyrical expression.
Discovering his passion for rap at the age of thirteen, Glocc drew inspiration from iconic artists such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and LL Cool J. His early career took off in September 1997 when he teamed up with K-9 and Natural Born to establish the Zoo Crew, releasing their debut album, *Migrate, Adapt or Die*, under the production of Tony and Julio G. This project garnered substantial underground acclaim, solidifying 40 Glocc’s reputation as a hidden gem in the hip-hop scene.
