Elisabeth Brooks
Elisabeth Brooks Luyties, known professionally as Elisabeth Brooks, was born in Toronto, Ontario, and embarked on her acting journey at the tender age of five, captivating audiences on both stage and screen. In the mid-1970s, she began to establish her television career while also balancing the challenges of single motherhood. To support herself and her son, Brooks juggled various jobs while landing roles in notable productions. She made a memorable appearance in the miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man (1976) and became a familiar face on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Her talent further shone in acclaimed series such as The Rockford Files, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, Hart to Hart, Starsky and Hutch, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Emergency!
Brooks is perhaps best recognized for her iconic portrayal of the seductive and sinister Marsha Quist in the cult classic horror film The Howling (1981). Her filmography also includes roles in Deep Space (1988) and The Forgotten One (1989), where she appeared alongside Kristy McNichol.
Tragically, after a courageous three-year battle with brain cancer, Elisabeth Brooks passed away at the age of 46 in a hospital near her residence in Palm Springs, California. Her contributions to the entertainment industry continue to be celebrated, leaving an indelible mark on fans and colleagues alike.
