Leilani Marie Smith, known for her work as an actress, writer, producer, and martial artist, was born in Korea and is of mixed heritage. She began her martial arts journey at Rifkin Pro Karate, where she trained extensively in traditional Tae Kwon Do alongside Aikido and Jujitsu self-defense methods. Demonstrating her dedication, she earned her 1st degree black belt on September 15, 2007.

In addition to teaching and assisting at her dojo, Leilani aspires to compete at a professional level in martial arts. She has expanded her skills by training in Muay Thai, grappling, and Arjunkenpo at the House of Champions. Her acting prowess is further honed through two years of advanced scene study with Bennet Guillory at the Robey Theatre and over a year in Ivana Chubbuck's Master Class.
