Leilani Marie Smith

Leilani Marie Smith, known for her work as an actress, writer, producer, and martial artist, was born in Korea and is of mixed heritage. She began her martial arts journey at Rifkin Pro Karate, where she trained extensively in traditional Tae Kwon Do alongside Aikido and Jujitsu self-defense methods. Demonstrating her dedication, she earned her 1st degree black belt on September 15, 2007.

In addition to teaching and assisting at her dojo, Leilani aspires to compete at a professional level in martial arts. She has expanded her skills by training in Muay Thai, grappling, and Arjunkenpo at the House of Champions. Her acting prowess is further honed through two years of advanced scene study with Bennet Guillory at the Robey Theatre and over a year in Ivana Chubbuck's Master Class.

Leilani's on-screen appearances include memorable roles in several films and television series. She showcased her talent as a contortionist in "The Player's Club" and had a notable scene with Ving Rhames in "The Don King Story." She also contributed to "Straight Outta Compton 2" as a Mocha Girl, performing fight sequences, and starred as Nicole in the award-winning short film "Gabrielle." Additionally, she portrayed Kat in the family comedy "Uncle P" and served as co-host for a pilot titled "Lounge Act" by Mind Spring Productions.

Her influence in the martial arts community was recognized in a September 2006 feature in "Inside Kung Fu," where she was quoted and photographed in the article "Madame Mentors."
