Dickie Jones (February 25, 1927 – July 7, 2014) was a notable American actor who gained fame as a child and young adult, particularly in B-Westerns and television productions. Born to a newspaper editor in Texas, Jones showcased his exceptional horse-riding skills from a young age, earning the title of the World’s Youngest Trick Rider and Trick Roper at just four years old. By the age of six, he was performing riding and lasso tricks at a rodeo owned by the famous Western star Hoot Gibson, who recognized Jones's talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in Hollywood.

Moving west with his mother, Jones quickly landed small roles, thanks to his charm, enthusiasm, and distinctive voice. One of his most famous roles came in 1940 when he lent his voice to the beloved character Pinocchio in Walt Disney's animated classic. After attending Hollywood High School, he took on the role of Henry Aldrich in the popular radio show "The Aldrich Family" at the age of 15.

During the final months of World War II, Jones served in the Army in Alaska. After the war, Gene Autry, who had previously cast him in several films, brought him back to the screen. Under the name Dick Jones, he became well-known for his role as Dick West, the sidekick in the TV series "The Range Rider" (1951), which ran for 76 episodes. He later starred in his own series, "Buffalo Bill, Jr." (1955), before retiring from acting to enter the business world.
