Dave Willis
David Wayne "Dave" Willis, born on May 1, 1970, is a prominent American voice actor, writer, and producer best recognized for his significant contributions to animated television, particularly through his work on the adult animated series Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Willis began his career in 1995 when he joined Williams Street (previously known as Ghost Planet Industries) as a writer for Cartoon Planet. Shortly thereafter, he became a key writer for the groundbreaking series Space Ghost Coast to Coast, where he first crossed paths with Matt Maiellaro, his future collaborator.
In 2000, Willis co-created Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which made its surprise debut in the early hours of December 30. The show later officially launched on Adult Swim in the fall of 2001 and quickly gained a cult following. His distinctive style, characterized by surreal humor, has made a lasting impact on the landscape of animated comedy.
In addition to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Willis co-created the series Squidbillies in 2005, which has enjoyed a long run, nearing its sixth season. He also ventured into new projects, such as the television pilot Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge, which aired on March 29, 2010. Furthermore, Willis showcased his versatility by writing the Family Guy episode "New Kidney in Town" the same year.
