Harriet Toompere

Harriet Toompere, born on May 22, 1975, in Tallinn, Estonia, is a multifaceted actress known for her work in stage, television, and film. In addition to her acting career, she has authored two children's books, showcasing her creative talents beyond the screen.

Harriet hails from a prominent artistic family; her father, Hendrik Toompere Sr., is a respected actor and director, while her mother, Maie Toompere (née Kruusenberg), also enjoyed a successful acting career. She is the sister of actor Hendrik Toompere Jr. and the proud aunt of rising star Hendrik Toompere Jr. Jr. Her familial roots extend to her maternal grandfather, the renowned wrestler Herman Kruusenberg.

Toompere pursued her passion for acting at the EMA Higher Drama School (now the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), where she graduated in 1998. Notable peers from her class included actors Hilje Murel, Jan Uuspõld, and Tiit Sukk. During her studies, she showcased her talent in several significant productions, such as Betti Alver's "Lugu valgest varesest" in 1996, the musical "My Fair Lady" in 1997, and Madis Kõiv's "Peiarite õhtunäitus" the same year.
