Stacey Donovan
Stacey Donovan, originally named Kelley Howell, is a former American adult film actress born in 1964 in Encino, California. At the age of eighteen, she entered the adult film industry, albeit not with the ambition of becoming a star. In a candid interview with The Baltimore Sun in October 1985, she expressed her discomfort with the industry, stating, “I don't enjoy [working in pornography].” Despite her misgivings, she found the financial compensation—around $1,000 per day—too appealing to leave behind.
Throughout her career, Donovan gained notable recognition as a centerfold in Hustler in 1984 and appeared on the cover of Seventeen magazine, further diversifying her portfolio with commercials for Swatch.
Her career took a significant turn in April 1987, when she testified in a high-profile case at the San Fernando Municipal Court. The case involved two men accused of felony pandering related to the production of sex videotapes. Donovan, along with other adult film performers like Steve Drake and Tracey Adams, revealed that they had been compensated to perform in front of cameras under questionable circumstances. During her testimony, she disclosed her role as an informant for law enforcement in various pandering investigations. Unfortunately, this decision led to her being blacklisted from the adult film industry, marking the end of her career in that realm.
