Siphesihle November

Siphesihle November, hailing from Zolani, South Africa, has emerged as a prominent figure in the world of ballet. After training at Canada's National Ballet School, he joined The National Ballet of Canada in 2017 as a member of the Corps de Ballet and was elevated to Principal Dancer in 2021. November's versatility shines through in both classical and contemporary works, including his recent performances in Wayne McGregor's world premiere of MADDADDAM, Rena Butler’s Alleged Dances, and Alonzo King’s Canadian premiere of The Collective Agreement.

His impressive repertoire includes iconic roles such as Siegfried in Swan Lake, the Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker, and Puck in The Dream, as well as performances in works like The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, and A Streetcar Named Desire. Siphesihle’s artistry has not gone unnoticed; in 2019, he secured The Erik Bruhn Prize at an international competition, and he earned accolades as one of Pointe Magazine’s Stars of the Corps and Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch in 2018.

Furthermore, Siphesihle’s journey from South Africa to the prestigious National Ballet was documented in Beyond Moving, showcasing his inspiring ascent. In 2022, he made his choreographic debut with On Solid Ground, and he created the piece All That Is Within for former First Soloist Tanya Howard’s farewell performance in MAD HOT BALLET: Deco-Danse.
