He was instrumental in the establishment of Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), a pioneering company that revolutionized visual effects in cinema. Prior to this, Edlund founded Pignose amplifiers, showcasing his innovative spirit. He later co-founded Boss Film Studios and DuMonde VFX, further solidifying his legacy in the field of visual effects.
