Bruce Lorne Campbell, born on June 22, 1958, is a prominent American actor and filmmaker celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's beloved *Evil Dead* franchise, which began with the short film *Within the Woods* in 1978. Throughout his career, Campbell has made significant contributions to low-budget cult cinema, appearing in notable films such as *Crimewave* (1985), *Maniac Cop* (1988), *Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat* (1989), and *Bubba Ho-Tep* (2002).

His television work includes leading roles in *The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.* (1993–1994) and *Jack of All Trades* (2000). He is also recognized for his recurring character Autolycus, King of Thieves in *Hercules: The Legendary Journeys* and *Xena: Warrior Princess*, both airing from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, Campbell played Sam Axe in the USA Network series *Burn Notice* (2007–2013) and reprised his role as Ash in the Starz series *Ash vs. Evil Dead* (2015–2018).
