As a proud third-generation Texan, Benton realized another childhood aspiration by appearing in not one, but two films centered around the Alamo.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Arts from Texas Christian University, complemented by further studies in cinematography. His educational journey includes prestigious institutions such as the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, The Film Actors Lab in Dallas, and various voice-over coaches in Los Angeles, including DeVera Marcus' Improv Class.
