Monnae Michaell

Monnae Michaell is a versatile talent whose career encompasses television, film, theater, animation, and commercials. She garnered an NAACP Theatre Award nomination for her impactful portrayal of Tanya in August Wilson's *King Hedley III* at the Mark Taper Forum. Additionally, she was considered for an Emmy for her compelling performance as Lisa Jefferson in *Flight '93*. Among her memorable roles are Annie in *American Dreams*, Judge Bass in *The Defenders*, Half George in *the road weeps, the well runs dry*, and Citizen 2 in *Citizen: An American Lyric*.

Her extensive television portfolio includes appearances on shows such as *The Office*, *Nip/Tuck*, *The Young and the Restless*, *The Shield*, and *The Practice*, among others. Monnae honed her craft at the Lee Strasberg Institute, affiliated with New York University, and began her artistic journey in musical theater, showcasing her talents as an actress, singer, and dancer.
