Eve Brent

Eve Brent, born Jean Ann Ewers on September 11, 1929, and passing away on August 27, 2011, was a versatile American actress recognized for her captivating performances in film and television. She first gained attention in the realms of radio and early television before transitioning to the stage, performing in college and community theater. In the 1950s, she relocated to Hollywood with her husband and infant son, where her career took off with notable film appearances in titles such as Gun Girls (1957), Journey to Freedom (1957), and The Bride and the Beast (1958).

Her name change to Eve Brent, orchestrated by the innovative director Samuel Fuller during her role in the western Forty Guns (1957), marked the beginning of a prolific acting career. Brent is perhaps best remembered for embodying the character of Jane in the popular Tarzan films Tarzan and the Trappers and Tarzan's Fight for Life, both released in 1958, and she made numerous appearances in the Tarzan television series. Beyond her film work, she was a familiar face in hundreds of commercials.

In her later years, Brent showcased her talent in significant roles, including Elaine Connelly in the critically acclaimed The Green Mile and a supporting character in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
