Bill Kopp, born on April 17, 1962, in Rockford, Illinois, is a distinguished American animator and voice actor known for his impactful contributions to animation. He gained recognition for animating the Whammy character on the iconic 1980s game show, *Press Your Luck*, and for voicing the title character in Nelvana's *Eek! The Cat*, along with Kutter in *The Terrible Thunderlizards*, which he co-created with Savage Steve Holland. Kopp has also lent his voice to Tom in various *Tom and Jerry* movies, including *Tom and Jerry: Blast Off to Mars* and *Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry*.

Kopp's animation career includes work on *The Simpsons* Tracey Ullman Shorts, although he departed after the first season. He created *The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show* and *Mad Jack the Pirate*, served as an executive producer and writer for *Toonsylvania*, and produced and directed several *Tom and Jerry* cartoons. His writing credits include *Hare and Loathing in Las Vegas* and *The Incredible Crash Dummies*, as well as contributing stories to two *Roger Rabbit* shorts: *Tummy Trouble* and *Roller Coaster Rabbit*. He also took on the role of writer, director, and co-producer for HBO's *Tales from the Crypt: The Third Pig*.

Kopp studied animation at the California Institute of the Arts, and his work has garnered him accolades, including an Academy Award-Student Film/Animation in 1984 for *Mr. Gloom* and another in 1985 for *Observational Hazard*. He has also directed many episodes of *The Twisted Whiskers Show*.
