Suzy Mandel
Suzy Mandel is a former model and actress, celebrated for her performances in British sex comedies of the 1970s, notably in films such as Confessions of a Driving Instructor (1976) and Come Play with Me (1977). She also appeared on the popular variety series The Benny Hill Show (1969).
Originally named Jacqueline Ann Elaine Jefcoate, she was born on March 6, 1953, in London, England. Suzy spent her childhood on the Isle of Sheppey before moving to Epping, Essex, and subsequently to Woodford and Buckhurst Hill, Essex. A graduate of The London Modelling Academy in 1968, she initiated her career as a coat model but soon transitioned to lingerie modeling. Throughout her career, she garnered several prestigious accolades, including titles like Miss Benson and Hedges, Miss Teenage London, and Miss TV Times, with the latter being featured on UK television in 1974. Additionally, Mandel gained recognition as a Page 3 girl for "The Sun" and was one of the pioneering "Mirror Girls" for the "Daily Mirror." Her work in modeling and entertainment has left a lasting mark on the industry, highlighting her versatility and appeal during a vibrant era of British cinema.
