Shiro Kishibe

Shirō Kishibe (岸部 四郎, Kishibe Shirō), born on June 7, 1949, in Kyoto, Japan, was a renowned actor who gained notoriety for his role as Sandy in the television series Monkey. Prior to his foray into acting, Kishibe was a talented guitarist and vocalist with the popular Japanese band The Tigers. His artistic inclinations ran in the family; he had an older brother, Ittoku Kishibe, who also pursued a career in acting and played the bass while leading The Tigers. Kishibe's contributions to the entertainment industry were significant until his passing on August 28, 2020.
