Bernard Robichaud
Bernard Robichaud, a Boston native who has made a name for himself in Canada as an actor, writer, and comedian, is best recognized for his role as Cyrus, the menacing drug dealer in the beloved series Trailer Park Boys. His journey into the limelight began as a successful model until a fortuitous encounter with a Toronto talent agent urged him to pursue acting. He subsequently enrolled in the Theatre Arts program at Dalhousie University and further refined his craft under the mentorship of esteemed vocal coach Dorothy Ward and award-winning director Tom Kerr at Neptune Theatre.
Robichaud's versatility shines through in his work; he has lent his voice to characters Robert and Becky in the CBC radio drama In Becky's Name, an opportunity facilitated by acclaimed playwright Kent Stetson, who advocated for his professional status with ACTRA. His impressive range has led him to share the screen with Hollywood legends such as James Caan and Kathy Bates.
Notable recent projects include a role in Sea Change on Lifetime, based on the works of Aimee Friedman, and appearances in Blue Seduction alongside Billy Zane and Estella Warren, as well as American Sunset with Corey Haim. He also had a recurring character, Kirk, in the series Haven.
Beyond acting, Bernard is currently developing a sitcom titled Cranky Cab, co-produced by Barrie Dunn, and has written a screenplay adaptation titled Kitchen Sports, among other projects. He captivates audiences across North America with his stand-up comedy act, It's My Life, Not Yours!, blending humor with personal anecdotes that reveal his true self, moving away from the character of Cyrus.
