Jeffrey Katzenberg

Jeffrey Katzenberg, born on December 21, 1950, is a prominent American film producer and media executive renowned for his significant contributions to the entertainment industry. Between 1984 and 1994, he held the position of chairman at Walt Disney Studios, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the studio's feature film production and business strategies. In 1994, Katzenberg co-founded DreamWorks SKG, serving as CEO and executive producer, where he was instrumental in the creation of beloved animated franchises such as Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon, a role he maintained until 2016.

After his tenure at DreamWorks, Katzenberg established WndrCo, a venture capital firm focused on investing in digital media innovations. In 2020, he launched Quibi, a mobile platform designed for short-form video content, although it faced challenges and ultimately closed down after incurring a loss of $1.35 billion within just seven months.

In addition to his entertainment ventures, Katzenberg has played a significant role in political fundraising, earning recognition as a key figure in Democratic Party circles. He has been a vocal supporter of candidates like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and served as a campaign co-chair for Joe Biden's re-election bid in 2024, as well as for Kamala Harris' presidential campaign.
