Majid Potki
Majid Potki, born on September 16, 1974, in Rasht, Iran, is a versatile actor known for his work in theater, cinema, and television, as well as his contributions as a director and voice actor. His career began in 1989 at Shahid Beheshti High School's amphitheater, and after completing his military service in 1995, he pursued higher education, continuing his passion for performance in college theater.
Potki gained significant recognition in 2016 when he received the "Special Achievement" award for Best Actor at the Manheim International Film Festival in Germany for his poignant portrayal of a father in Nahid Hassanzadeh's film "Another Time." His talent has been acknowledged at several prestigious festivals; he won Best Actor for the short film "Digeri" at the Otabiana Brazil festival in 2021 and received the Best Male Actor award at the Omid Tehran International Film and Photo Festival in the same year.
Since the establishment of Baran TV in 1998, Potki has been a prominent figure on the screen, featuring in numerous series and films, including "Kolbe Ai Dar Meh," "Deldadgan," and "Armando." He also starred in popular shows such as "Kawfi Tarch," "Blue Whale," "Monster," and "Meydan Sorkh." Additionally, he contributes his voice to various programs on Radio Gilan, showcasing his multifaceted talent. Currently, he serves as the coordinator of religious and traditional shows in Gilan province.
