Jérémy Clapin, a distinguished figure in contemporary animation, honed his craft at the Paris School of Decorative Arts, graduating in 1999. He embarked on a multifaceted career as a graphic designer and illustrator, simultaneously directing commercials and music videos. Clapin's passion for animation led him to create a series of acclaimed short films that established his reputation in the industry. His notable works include "UNE HISTOIRE VERTÉBRALE" in 2004 and "SKHIZEIN" in 2008, the latter achieving remarkable acclaim with over 90 festival awards, including prestigious honors from Cannes, Annecy, and Clermont. He continued to build on his success with "PALMIPEDARIUM" in 2012, collaborating with Papy3D Productions, where he took on a partner role.

Clapin's ambition culminated in his debut feature film, "I LOST MY BODY," produced by Xilam, which began development in 2012. This groundbreaking work made history in 2019 by becoming the first animated feature to win the Grand Prize at the International Critics’ Week during the Cannes Film Festival. Acquired by Netflix, the film garnered widespread acclaim, securing the Cristal for a Feature Film at the Annecy Festival, along with multiple accolades from major U.S. critic groups. In 2020, "I LOST MY BODY" received three ANNIES Awards, an Oscar nomination, and two César Awards, solidifying Clapin's status as a leading animator in the global cinema landscape.
