Catherine Clinch, born between 2009 and 2010, is a rising star in Irish cinema known for her impressive debut in "The Quiet Girl" (2022). Hailing from Ranelagh, Dublin, she is the daughter of stockbroker Tom Clinch and singer Méav Ní Mhaolchatha. Clinch has been passionate about acting since childhood, enrolling in acting classes early on.

Her breakout role came in Colm Bairéad's critically acclaimed film "The Quiet Girl" (An Cailín Ciúin), where she portrayed Cáit, a shy nine-year-old who spends the summer of 1981 on a relative's farm. The casting process was unique, as the film called for a lead actress fluent in Irish, leading to auditions primarily at Irish-language schools during the COVID-19 pandemic.
