Yasmine Aker is a dynamic actress, singer, and songwriter who resides in Los Angeles, California. Born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Iranian parents, she later relocated to Canada, where her passion for the performing arts blossomed. From a young age, Yasmine showcased her talent in school plays and community events. A noteworthy moment in her early career was singing soprano with the Voices of Bahá Choir during a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City for the Conference of the Arts in 2002. Her commitment to public service earned her the TD Canada Trust Scholarship for Community Leadership.

Yasmine pursued her academic interests in psychology at York University and the University of Western Ontario in London. After winning the title of Miss London 2006 and being named Miss World Canada Photogenic 2006, she redirected her focus toward her lifelong dream of acting. She has since appeared in numerous films and television shows across Canada and the United States. In 2009, Yasmine launched her solo music career, collaborating with the Grammy-nominated Canadian production team KUYA, known for their work with stars like Alessia Cara and Nelly Furtado. With three albums to her name, her most recent release, "Unvarnished," showcases a unique blend of her Middle Eastern heritage with pop, neo-soul, and electronica influences. In 2011, Yasmine moved to Los Angeles to further her endeavors in film and television.
