Rudy Youngblood
Rudy Youngblood, born Tee-Dee-Nae, is an accomplished Native American actor with roots in the Comanche, Cree, and Yaqui tribes. Before embarking on his acting career, Youngblood held various positions in the construction industry. His breakthrough came when he was chosen from a general casting call to portray the lead character, Jaguar Paw, in Mel Gibson's critically acclaimed film "Apocalypto" (2006). To authentically embody his role, he dedicated himself to learning the Yucatec Maya language, showcasing his commitment to the character and the film’s cultural context.
In addition to his achievements in film, Youngblood is also a talented Native dancer, having showcased his skills with the American Indian Dance Theater. His performances highlight the rich traditions and artistry of Native American culture.
