Amjad Khan

Amjad Khan (November 12, 1940 – July 27, 1992) was a prominent Indian actor and director, celebrated for his impactful contributions to Hindi cinema. Over the course of his nearly two-decade-long career, Khan featured in more than 130 films, leaving an indelible mark in the industry. He became particularly renowned for his portrayal of villainous characters, with his most iconic role being that of the menacing Gabbar Singh in the 1975 blockbuster "Sholay." This character has since become a cultural touchstone in Indian film history. Another notable performance was as Dilawar in "Muqaddar Ka Sikandar" (1978), which further solidified his reputation as a formidable presence on screen.
