Denise Mone't
Denise Mone't hails from Houston, Texas, where she began her academic journey in Business Management at Sam Houston State University, ultimately earning her Bachelor's degree before advancing to Lamar University for her Master's degree. A multifaceted talent, Denise encompasses the roles of writer, director, producer, actress, and now editor. She has helmed five independent feature films, including *Hidden Agenda*, *Behind Closed Doors 2*, *The Ring Widow*, *My New BFF*, and *Dirty Thirty*, and has penned four of them herself. In 2023, she is set to direct four additional feature films of her own writing.
Despite not attending film school, Denise's deep passion for the arts revealed her innate acting abilities. Her journey in film began when she audibly impressed during her first audition, securing a lead role. Since then, she has graced numerous independent films, a television series, and various theater productions. Some of her notable appearances include TV One's *Fatal Attraction*, a film featuring comedian Rodney Perry, and *The Killing Secret*, starring Blue Kimble. Denise has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Tyler Perry and Jasmine Lewis.
In 2014, she founded Purple Hart Productions, inspired by her admiration for comedian Kevin Hart. A dedicated Christian, mother, and educator, Denise has recently established Break A Leg Studios, an LLC aimed at offering acting classes to aspiring thespians in her community. Her mission is to forge opportunities within the independent film sector by producing films and TV series in Houston, Texas.
