Ken Webster
Ken Webster, born on July 29, 1957, in Port Arthur, Texas, is a prominent figure in the Austin theater scene, currently serving as the artistic director of the Hyde Park Theatre. With an impressive track record, Webster has garnered 47 nominations for the B. Iden Payne Awards and 20 Critics' Table Awards in various capacities including acting, directing, and producing.
His accolades include 14 B. Iden Payne Awards, with notable wins for directing powerful productions such as "Dog Sees God" in 2008, "The Pillowman" in 2007, "The Drawer Boy" in 2004, and "Quake" in 2003. Additionally, he received the 2007 Critics’ Table Award for Outstanding Lead Acting for his performances in "St. Nicholas" and "Thom Pain (based on nothing)". Webster was also recognized with the Critics’ Table John Bustin Award in 1999 for his exceptional contributions to the arts.
