Carlos Andrés Gómez
Carlos Andrés Gómez is a celebrated poet, actor, speaker, and writer hailing from New York City. He gained recognition with his memoir, *Man Up: Reimagining Modern Manhood*, published by Gotham Books, a division of Penguin. His literary prowess earned him a nomination for the Pushcart Prize, and in 2009, he received the prestigious Artist of the Year award at the Promoting Outstanding Writers Awards. Gómez appeared alongside notable stars Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster, and Clive Owen in Spike Lee’s acclaimed film *Inside Man*.
His performances have graced platforms such as HBO’s *Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry* and TV One’s *Verses and Flow*. An international figure in the literary world, he has headlined festivals across the globe, including in Indonesia, South Africa, Australia, Ireland, Spain, Canada, and the U.K., and served as the Guest of Honor at the Berlin International Literature Festival.
