Pedro Pascal
José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal, born on April 2, 1975, is a Chilean-American actor known for his compelling performances across various media. After spending nearly twenty years in minor roles on both stage and television, Pascal achieved widespread recognition with his role as Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones in 2014. His fame further escalated with his portrayal of Javier Peña in Netflix's crime drama Narcos, which aired from 2015 to 2017. He subsequently appeared in notable films such as The Great Wall (2016), Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), The Equalizer 2 (2018), and Triple Frontier (2019).
Pascal’s lead roles as Din Djarin in Disney+’s sci-fi series The Mandalorian (2019–2023) and Joel Miller in HBO's post-apocalyptic series The Last of Us (2023–present) catapulted him into global stardom, establishing him as a favored actor for roles depicting father figures. His performance in The Last of Us garnered him numerous awards, including a Screen Actors Guild Award, along with nominations for a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
