Pinky Amador
Pinky Amador, born Pilar Cristina Roxas Amador, is a distinguished Filipina actress, singer, commercial model, and television host known for her versatile performances. Amador made her mark in the original London cast of the acclaimed musical Miss Saigon and is a familiar face on GMA Network.
She is the niece of the late Zeneida Amador, the visionary founder of Repertory Philippines. Amador hails from a Filipino family of Spanish descent and is the youngest of three children, standing at 5'3" with striking dark brown hair and eyes.
Amador's acting journey began at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Acting, bolstered by two British Council scholarships for her outstanding performance. Under the guidance of Mary Hammond, she gained recognition through lead roles in plays such as I Ought to Be in Pictures, Agnes of God, and The Foreigner, earning her Aliw Awards for Best Stage Actress.
Her career spans over 70 plays and musicals, 300 television appearances, and 60 films across the UK and the Philippines. While often cast as the antagonist, Amador relishes the opportunity to explore different character dynamics, such as her recent role in the remake of Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit alongside Angelika dela Cruz and Iza Calzado. She has wrapped up filming You To Me Are Everything for GMA Films/Viva Films, appears in Magkaribal on ABS-CBN, and reprised her character Molly Corpuz in Momay. Additionally, she shines as Baroness Elsa Schraeder in Resorts World Manila's production of The Sound of Music.
