Chyler Leigh, born on April 10, 1982, in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a prominent American actress celebrated for her roles as Dr. Lexie Grey on the acclaimed series Grey's Anatomy and Alex Danvers in the superhero show Supergirl.

Leigh's career began at the tender age of 12 when she started modeling for various magazines and catalogs. This initial success paved the way for her appearances in national commercials, including those for Coca-Cola and Wendy's. By 16, she had already made her mark in television, landing roles in pilots such as ABC's Wilder Days and the WB's Saving Graces, with Aaron Spelling recognizing her talent in the latter and casting her in Safe Harbor.

Her film debut came in the 2001 comedy Not Another Teen Movie, where her impressive audition led to her being cast in the lead role. Following this, in 2002, she joined the ensemble of Fox's That '80s Show, portraying a rebellious teenager.
