Safia Oakley-Green
Safia Grace Oakley-Green, born in June 2001, is an emerging talent in the English acting scene. Hailing from Southwark, London, and later moving to Derbyshire, she honed her craft at the Television Workshop in Nottingham. As of 2023, she is also pursuing a degree in psychology at university.
Oakley-Green's career began to flourish with her participation in the short horror film Requiem in 2021, where she starred alongside Bella Ramsey, a fellow alumna of the Television Workshop. The film garnered attention, particularly following Ramsey's breakout role in HBO's The Last of Us. Her feature film debut came in the same year with The Colour Room, a biopic for Sky Cinema, where she performed alongside Phoebe Dynevor.
Her notable role in the Scottish horror film Out of Darkness (originally titled The Origin), released in 2022, earned her critical acclaim. She received the British Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performance and was also honored with the Best Film Actress award at the BAFTA Scotland ceremony.
In 2023, Oakley-Green continued to make her mark in the industry, taking on a recurring role as Andy in the Disney+ comedy series Extraordinary. She is set to appear in the second season of The Lazarus Project on Sky Max and in the Paramount+ series The Burning Girls. Her dedication and talent have already established her as one of the promising stars of her generation, leading to her recognition as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2023.
