Desmond Edwards

Desmond Edwards was born in 1972 in Stoke on Trent, England, where he experienced a joyful working-class upbringing until tragedy struck with the loss of his mother when he was just 11 years old. Pursuing a sense of purpose, Des joined the army at a young age, serving in various conflict zones including Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Cyprus, and the Middle East. After a distinguished military career, he transitioned to civilian life in late 2004 and settled in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Des began exploring his passion for acting, appearing in numerous short films throughout the U.K. His dedication to the craft led him to enhance his training further in early 2018. This commitment paid off as he landed significant roles, including that of a lead detective in a crime documentary for CBS filmed in Dublin, and a notable part in Liam Neeson’s film "Normal People," shot in Belfast.

Possessing skills in firearms and small unit tactics, Des utilized these abilities in the acclaimed BBC drama "Line of Duty." Currently, he is refining his screen acting techniques at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, continuously striving to expand his artistic repertoire and make his mark in the entertainment industry. Desmond Edwards exemplifies resilience and passion in both his military and acting pursuits.
