Michael Standing

Michael Standing is a distinguished British actor and writer, celebrated for his memorable performances in both film and television. He gained widespread recognition for his role in the classic film _The Italian Job_, particularly for the iconic moment when Michael Caine famously tells him, "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" Standing also showcased his versatility by appearing in both adaptations of _Up The Junction_—the television play and the film—playing different characters in each. His filmography includes notable works like _Poor Cow_, and he concluded his acting career with a role in the 1990 film _Aftershock_.
