Mimi Chakraborty is a celebrated actress in Bengali cinema and television, renowned for her captivating performances. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of "Pupe," the female protagonist in the acclaimed serial *Gaaner Oparey*. Prior to her acting career, Mimi dabbled in modeling and participated in the Femina Miss India pageant, which marked her initial foray into the limelight.

Her acting journey began with the television series *Champion*, but it was her role in *Gaaner Oparey*, produced by Ideas Creations, that truly catapulted her to fame. This mega-serial aired on Star Jalsha from June 28, 2010, to April 16, 2011, and was a tribute to the legendary Rabindranath Tagore, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of his birth. The project featured contributions from notable figures in the industry, including Rituparno Ghosh as the initial scriptwriter and Debojyoti Mishra as the music director.

Mimi made her film debut with *Bapi Bari Jaa*, which premiered on December 7, 2012. She has since featured in several films, including *Mini* and *Khela Jawkhon*, and is set to appear in the Hindi remake of *Posto*.
