Kirill Käro
Kirill Valerievich Käro, born on February 24, 1975, in Tallinn, Estonia, is a prominent Estonian-Russian actor recognized for his compelling performances in various television series. He gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of the lead character in "The Sniffer," a role he held for 32 episodes from 2013 to 2017, which earned him the Best Actor award from the Association of Film and TV Producers. His talent further shone through as he took on the character George Safronov in the Netflix sci-fi thriller "Better than Us," which aired in 2019.
Käro comes from a diverse background, with a sea captain father and a teacher mother, both of mixed Estonian and Russian heritage. His artistic journey began at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow, where he completed a five-year acting course, graduating in 1997. He honed his craft under the guidance of esteemed mentor Armen Dzhigarkhanyan.
After returning to Estonia, Käro spent five years performing at the Russian Theatre in Tallinn before relocating to Moscow and joining the Praktika Theatre in 2004. His film and television career commenced in 2008 with various minor roles, culminating in significant success with his role as Sergey in the dramatic series "To the Lake," which premiered on Netflix in October 2020.
