Brian Patrick Clarke, born on August 1, 1952, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is a distinguished American actor celebrated for his contributions to film and television. A Yale University alumnus, Clarke graduated in 1974, where he excelled not only academically but also athletically as a three-time All-Ivy League football player. During his time at Yale, he set records for the most field goals in a single game, season, and career.

After college, Clarke briefly pursued a career in professional football, trying out for teams like the Dallas Cowboys and the Memphis Southmen of the World Football League.
