Katsuya Maiguma is a talented Japanese actor whose journey began after high school when he relocated to Tokyo with aspirations of becoming a film director. He enrolled in a film directing course at the Tokyo Film Center School of Art Vocational School, now known as the Tokyo Broadcasting Arts & Film and Actor Vocational School.

Maiguma's acting career took off under the guidance of director Yoriko Jun, marking his stage debut in the 2010 production of "TIC-TAC." Since then, he has showcased his versatility by producing several short films, including "VOEL." His notable performance in the 2016 film "Ken and Kazu" earned him significant recognition, including the Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer Award at the 71st Mainichi Film Competition, the New Actor Award at the Osaka Cinema Festival in 2017, and the Best New Actor Award at the 31st Takasaki Film Festival.
