Cihan Inan

Cihan Inan, born in 1969 in Burgdorf, Switzerland, is a distinguished theatre and film director, as well as a talented screenwriter. He pursued his studies in German language and Philosophy at the University of Bern, laying a solid foundation for his creative endeavors.

Inan has made a significant mark in the performing arts across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, where he has established himself as an independent theatre director. His remarkable vision culminated in his tenure as the artistic director of Konzert Theater Bern from 2016 to 2021, where he contributed to the cultural landscape of the region.

Inan's cinematic journey began with his debut feature film, “180°,” released in 2010. The film garnered attention at various festivals, earning accolades such as Best Script, Best Directing, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Music, showcasing his multifaceted talent behind the camera. Following this success, his second feature, “ZONE ROUGE,” premiered at the prestigious Zurich Film Festival in 2018, further solidifying his reputation in the film industry.
