Ding Lan, born in 1964 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China, is a multi-talented Singaporean actress and businesswoman. She made her mark in the entertainment industry in the summer of 1981 when she appeared in the iconic film "Shaolin Temple," directed by Zhang Xinyan, which launched her career as a prominent figure in the film world. That same year, she played the character Caixia in "Shaolin Folk Disciples," further solidifying her presence in the industry.

Throughout the 1980s, Ding continued to showcase her acting prowess in a variety of roles. She portrayed a shepherdess in 1982 and took on the character of Er Feng in "Shaolin Kid" in 1984. In 1986, she gained recognition for her performance as He Yufeng in the film "The 13th Missy." The following year, she starred as Shen Zuochong in "The Dongling Bandit," and in 1988, she played Jacy Spring in the adaptation of the classic novel "A Dream of Red Mansions." In 1989, she featured as Zhao Xiaowan in another significant production.

In 1991, Ding relocated to Singapore, where she continued her career in acting and business. After a decade away, she returned to Beijing in 2001 to pursue various entrepreneurial ventures, balancing her passions for acting and business.
