Kip King was a prominent American actor renowned for his work in film, television, and voice acting. He gained notable recognition as the father of Chris Kattan, a celebrated sketch comedian known for his work on television. King's most memorable role came in the 1980s when he lent his voice to Tailor Smurf in the beloved animated series, The Smurfs.

A long-time collaborator with Hanna-Barbera, King showcased his vocal talents as Shecky in The Biskitts, which aired in 1983. His extensive voice work also included roles in The Little Rascals (1982), where he contributed to the series' charm. Additionally, he was part of the voice cast for the popular Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo from 1979 to 1980, and later appeared in Tom & Jerry Kids (1990) and the 1993 show Droopy, Master Detective. King also featured in the special Flintstones TV event, I Yabba-Dabba Do!
