Sue Randall

Sue Randall, born in Philadelphia, was the younger sibling in a family led by Marion Burnside and Roland Rodrock Randall, a notable real estate consultant. Her passion for acting ignited at the tender age of 10 when she graced the stage with the Alden Park Players. After completing her education at the Lankenau School for Girls in 1953, she ventured to New York City to pursue her dreams at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she graduated with distinction.

Randall's television career began with a significant debut in the 1955 episode "Golden Victory" of the series *Star Tonight*. She became recognized for her role as Diane Emerson in the soap opera *Valiant Lady* (1953-1957) and continued to make her mark with appearances in *Woman with a Past* in 1954. Her most memorable role came in 1957 when she portrayed Ruthie Saylor, a reference-desk employee, in the film *Desk Set*, featuring legendary stars Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn.

From 1958 to 1962, Randall gained widespread recognition as Miss Landers on the beloved sitcom *Leave It to Beaver*, appearing in 28 episodes and taking over the role from Diane Brewster. Throughout her career, she also showcased her talent in various television series, including guest roles in Westerns like *Sugarfoot* and *The Rebel*. In the late 1950s, she co-starred in a pilot for the sitcom *Up on Cloud Nine*, which centered on the humorous escapades of two airline stewardesses, though the series did not secure funding.
