David Maysick
David Maysick's journey began after he completed high school, when he enlisted in the United States Navy, dedicating four years of service. Following his military tenure, he pursued higher education at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he successfully earned his degree. David then took on a pastoral role at a church in Holland, Michigan, serving the community for several years before furthering his academic credentials at Andrews University, where he obtained both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Education.
His educational journey led him to Lake Michigan College, where he initially served as a professor. His leadership skills soon propelled him to the position of Dean of Students. Even after retiring, David remained committed to education, taking on roles as an adjunct professor at various local institutions well into his seventies. He also continued his association with Lake Michigan College as a Board of Trustees member, even holding the position of elected president for a period.
In addition to his academic and administrative pursuits, David showcased his talent in the arts by starring in the 2013 film *The Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club*. Throughout his life, David Maysick has exemplified a passion for teaching, leadership, and community service, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
