John Gargano

John Anthony Nicholas Gargano, known in the wrestling world as Johnny Gargano, is a prominent American professional wrestler currently competing in WWE’s NXT brand. His journey in professional wrestling began in 2005 with the Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling (CAPW) promotion, where he first showcased his skills.

Over the years, Gargano made a name for himself on the independent wrestling circuit, performing for esteemed promotions such as Chikara, Dragon Gate USA (DGUSA), Evolve, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). His impressive accolades include winning the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas, the Evolve Tag Team Championship, and the DGUSA's Open the Freedom Gate Championship, which he notably held for a record-breaking 873 days during his first reign. In addition to his independent circuit success, Gargano also made guest appearances with major promotions like Ring of Honor (ROH), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), and WWE.

After a few early appearances with WWE, Gargano participated in a tryout camp in June 2015, which paved the way for his regular involvement with NXT. He officially signed with WWE in April 2016 and soon formed the tag team #DIY alongside Tommaso Ciampa, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship during their time together. Gargano's dedication and talent continue to make him a standout performer in the wrestling industry.
