Aubrey Christina Plaza, born on June 26, 1984, is a multifaceted American actress, comedian, and producer. She took her first steps into the acting world during her teenage years, participating in local theater productions and honing her skills in improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. After completing her education at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Plaza made her cinematic debut in the film *Mystery Team* in 2009, but it was her portrayal of April Ludgate on the NBC political satire *Parks and Recreation* from 2009 to 2015 that brought her widespread acclaim.

In addition to her television work, Plaza appeared in *Scott Pilgrim vs. the World* (2010) and took on a leading role in the acclaimed indie film *Safety Not Guaranteed* (2012). From 2017 to 2019, she captivated audiences as the Shadow King and Lenny Busker in the FX series *Legion*. Plaza also produced and starred in notable films such as *The Little Hours* and *Ingrid Goes West* (both 2017), alongside appearances in *Happiest Season* and *Black Bear* (2020).
