Peter Outerbridge, born on June 30, 1966, is a prominent Canadian actor recognized for his diverse roles in film and television. He gained particular acclaim for his portrayal of Ari Tasarov in the CW action thriller Nikita. His notable performances also include Dr. David Sandström in the series ReGenesis, Henrik "Hank" Johanssen on Orphan Black, and Bob Corbett in Bomb Girls. Additionally, he appeared as William Easton in Saw VI and portrayed George Brown in the TV film John A.: Birth of a Country. Outerbridge played the title role of Detective William Murdoch in a three-part mini-series of The Murdoch Mysteries during its original airing in Canada, with episodes airing in both 2004 and 2005.

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Outerbridge is the youngest of five children in a family with a legal background. He pursued his passion for acting at the University of Victoria after completing high school and subsequently spent four years touring Canada with the theater company Way Off Broadway. Throughout his career, he has received multiple accolades, including nominations for the Genie Awards for his performances in Kissed (1997) and Marine Life (2002), as well as a Gemini Award nomination. In 2013, he won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role for his work in John A.: Birth of a Country. More recently, he had a recurring role as Black Mask in the second season of Batwoman, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
