Oleg Dolin
Oleg Vladimirovich Dolin, born on April 26, 1981, in Moscow, USSR, is a distinguished Russian actor and theater director. He hails from a creative family, being the son of singer-songwriter Veronika Dolina and the brother of film critic Anton Dolin.
Dolin completed his education at the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute in 2001, under the tutelage of Y. Shlykov. His professional journey began in 2003 when he joined the "School of Modern Play." He later performed with the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army and the Moscow Theater-Studio directed by Oleg Tabakov, now known as the Moscow Theater of Oleg Tabakov.
In 2009, Dolin earned critical acclaim by receiving the prestigious "Nika" award for Best Male Role for his performance in the film "Wild Field." His passion for the arts extends to education; since 2012, he has taught acting at the Moscow school "Class-Center" and has been a faculty member at the drama directing department of GITIS since graduating from its directing program in 2013.
As a director, Dolin has made significant contributions to theater, showcasing his vision in productions such as "Medvedko" (2014) at the Russian Academic Youth Theatre, "Snegurochka" (2018) at the Theatre of Nations, and "The Night Before Christmas" (2023) at the Vakhtangov Theatre. His upcoming work includes "Ionych," based on Chekhov's story, slated for 2024, further solidifying his status as a versatile and influential figure in the performing arts.
