Cyril Dion
Cyril Dion embarked on a diverse career journey, initially training in foot reflexology before studying at the Jean-Périmony School of Dramatic Art. Following a brief stint as an actor, he transitioned to project management, taking on the role of coordinator for the Hommes de Parole Foundation in 2003. His commitment to dialogue and peace was evident as he helped organize the Israeli-Palestinian Congress in Caux in the same year, followed by the inaugural World Congresses of Imams and Rabbis for Peace in 2005 and 2006.
In 2007, Dion co-founded the Colibris Movement alongside Pierre Rabhi and other advocates for environmental sustainability, serving as its leader until 2013 and continuing as a spokesperson. His creative endeavors included co-producing the documentary "Local Solutions for a Global Disorder" in 2010.
Dion's literary contributions began at 17, culminating in the publication of his poetry collection "Assis sur le fil" in 2014. He co-directed the acclaimed documentary "Demain," released in December 2015, which garnered the César Award for Best Documentary in 2016 and attracted over 1.1 million viewers in France. His debut novel, "Imago," followed in 2017, winning the Mediterranean Prize for First Novel.
In 2018, he directed "Après Demain," exploring the societal effects of "Demain," while also releasing "Petit Manuel de Résistance Contemporaine," addressing narratives around climate change. He began filming "Animal" in 2019, with a release anticipated in early 2021.
